I am definitely a country girl. I do enjoy visiting various cities, but I don't like having to look straight up just to see the sky. Nor do I like the fact that it never actually gets dark. I don't like the noise or the crowds.
In the country, I can see where the sky meets the horizon, and I can look up at a dark velvet sky twinkling with starlight. The noise I'm used to hearing is birds singing.
Some city-dwellers think it would be boring, but you're only as bored as you make up your mind to be.

I like peanutbutter and honey, rather than peanutbutter and jelly, and I love to have pickles on my grilled chicken sandwiches. I also refuse to eat porkchops without a side of French dressing to dip the bites in. I prefer to dip strawberries in sugar instead of chocolate. Nothing too weird, I don't think.

I would say it was the day I and all of my coworkers at the time lost our jobs at the insurance company we worked for. The home office sold our division, and the company that bought it out chose to move it to their own home offices.
I do look back on that, probably more than I should. I find myself sometimes thinking about the money I'd be making now if I was still working there, plus all the vacation time I'd have at my disposal. I also had darn good benefits there. As a temp, I have none of that.
I also miss the friends I made at that company. I still email one of the gals each day, and I try to keep in touch with the gal who was my best friend at the time, but it's difficult since we've all gone our separate ways.
I really miss getting off work at noon on Fridays, let me say. *grins*
Had I never lost that job, I never would have ended up working in the Ninth Level of Hell, either. However, I forged some very strong friendships there, and some of those gals comprise my beloved Hat Club.
I guess things happen for a reason, but I do still tend to look back at times and think, 'what if...?'

The media!
*clears throat*
I declare that I do not need to be thin, blonde and 20 to be beautiful.
I declare that I do not need to be a CEO to be successful in my job/career.
I declare that I do not need to be married with 2.7 children to be happy and satisfied in my personal life.

It was my birthday! *twirls*
I took the day off work on Wednesday and went bumming with my Mom. We had a nice lunch, and I bought some hats and books, which is the hallmark of a good day.
On Saturday, I had a repeat of sorts with my friend, featuring another wonderful lunch, and more hats and books!

For singer/band, I cannot abide Kelly Clarkson.
As for TV shows, I hate any form of "reality" TV. If I want reality TV, I'll watch ESPN or CNN.
Food? I don't like coffee or any kind of soda. I love tea, however.
I can combine book/movie. It's not so much I don't like it, but I've neither read nor seen "Gone With the Wind", which tends to surprise people.
That's about it. What about you?
