chez_jaeI finished book three about 10 days ago. Yes, I'm lazy. Sorry.
I began reading Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye at home, but I just wasn't getting into it. It's the first book in another series by Victoria Laurie. Finally, I took it to work to read on my breaks. The action eventually heated up to the point that I brought the book home with me to finish it.
Abby is a psychic intuitive who does readings for people to make a living. She's also begun online dating and has a promising first date with Dutch. When one of Abby's clients is murdered, the police come to her because the victim had a recording of her reading with Abby. The lead investigator is none other than Dutch. The problem is, he doesn't believe in psychics, and Abby is not fond of cops.
Abby, however, can't keep her nose out of the investigation. She feels partly responsible for the woman's death, because she had turned her away when she wanted a follow-up reading.
I really enjoyed this book. The action, once it got going, was fast-paced, and the blooming romance between Abby and Dutch was exciting, to say the least. I am now planning to read more books in this series.
