chez_jaeIt didn't take long for me to power through Angel Interrupted by Chaz McGee. It's the second in the Dead Detective series, featuring deceased cop Kevin Fahey. He is trapped between planes, and he passes the time by following around his replacement on the force, Maggie Gunn. Maggie is everything that Fahey wasn't--a dedicated, dogged cop determined to do her best to solve crimes.
In this installment, a nurse has been murdered, and in the confusion, a child is abducted from the park across the street. Fahey does his own investigating, and his input helps Maggie as she works on the cases.
The book was as engrossing as the first in the series. Even though I figured some of the plot points out before the big reveal, I still enjoyed the journey to get there. Can't wait for more in this series!
