Book 9, 2013
Apr. 20th, 2013 12:42 pmOn Wednesday, I finished reading Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
In the story, Julian of Macedon, who is the son of the goddess Aphrodite, is cursed into a book by his jealous brother. He can be summoned at the full moon to serve as a love slave to the woman who summons him.
Grace is a counselor who is too uptight, according to her friend. Selena summons Julian for Grace. However, Grace is appalled at Julian's plight. He remains fully conscious while in the book, suffering from thirst and hunger. Grace vows to free him.
Of course, it's never that easy. Julian is mistrustful, and Grace has emotional baggage of her own. Throw in some temperamental gods/goddesses, a creepy stalker, and the original curse, and it seems Julian will never be freed.
The book was average. It was entertaining enough, but certainly not a keeper. Three stars.
