Book 75, 2015
Dec. 19th, 2015 09:27 pmEarlier this evening, I finished reading Graham Ran Over a Reindeer by Sterling Rivers. It's a cute, male/male paranormal romance.
Graham has been attracted to his childhood friend Rudy for some time, but Rudy left and has been gone for years. When Rudy returns, he finds he's still pining for Graham. The two of them are too awkward with one another when they meet up again, and Graham leaves, feeling frustrated and disheartened.
On the way home in a snowstorm, Graham accidentally hits a caribou in the road. He rushes the animal to the vet, Rudy's grandfather, only to learn that it was no ordinary caribou, and Rudy's family are anything but ordinary. Now that Rudy's secret is out, he has to wonder if Graham can accept a caribou shape-shifter as his life mate. Graham's feelings for Rudy haven't changed, but he isn't sure he's the right partner for Rudy.
This was a delightful short story, fraught with fluff and angst in equal measure. There were some minor editing issues, but nothing that was a deal-breaker. Giving it a solid four out of five:
