Book 12, 2013
Jun. 1st, 2013 09:31 pmTonight, I polished off Witchling by Yasmine Galenorn. It's the first book in her "Otherworld" series. I have several others; I've just been lax in reading them.
The story was told by Camille's point of view. She's one of three half-human, half-Sidhe sisters with magical abilities. Camille is a witch, but she doesn't have full control of her powers. Nevertheless, she and her sisters are agents for the OIA (Otherworld Intelligence Agency). When another operative is murdered, Camille and her sisters must retrieve a seal and battle demons in an effort to prevent denizens of the Shadow Realm from destroying both Otherworld and Earthside.
The story wasn't as engrossing as I'd hoped. I tried to read a chapter each night, but I sort of wandered away from it. I finally took the book to work, and I finished it but for the two chapters I read tonight. Perhaps other books in the series will capture my attention better.
★★★
