I slept through it!

I kept tuning into the election coverage to keep an eye on the proceedings, but at 9:30 (CST), I decided a short nap was in order. I slept less than an hour, but when I woke up and turned the TV on once more, it was a done deal!

America, meet your next President, Barack Obama.

I am excited that Obama won, and I'm also relieved it's over. I hope the next four years bring about positive changes, not only within the US but in regards to our role on the world stage.

*hums 'Hail to the Chief'*

just wanted to say - Yay for Obama! Change is good.

Everyone at my work is crying that we're going to lose our jobs (we work for defence stuff) & in my head, first I went: ummm... I'm getting laid-off anywayzzz, and secondly, just because he wants to pull the troops out of Iraq, doesn't necessarily mean the country wont need defence anymore. Hello, we saw what happened 7 years ago. Do you honestly think we'd let it happen again? >.< Gah! No more politics (hopefully).

Don't go off half-cocked, people! A new president doesn't necessarily mean lost jobs. I'm hoping Obama will do something to encourage MORE jobs.
