25 books: No. 3
This evening, I finished reading Immortal Wolf by Bonnie Vanak. It's in the "Nocturne" genre of Silhouette.
I'm rather meh about it. I didn't like how the author portrayed the female lead. The woman was a werewolf, yet she spent most of the book screaming and/or flailing. Methinks the author needs to meet a real werewolf. Ha ha! Seriously, though. The two just did not mesh in my mind. To me, a werewolf is not all screamy and flaily.
There were also some annoying plot points that a decent editor (or a good beta!) should have caught. The story took turns either plodding or pelting along. The premise was interesting, but I wish the author would have thought it through better. Not a bad read, but not one I'd recommend, either.
